Campus International Facts

As of Fall 2008, 5,813 international students attend the University of Illinois.

In 2008, the Institute for Higher Education at Shanghai Jia Tong University ranked Illinois as the 26th best university in the world and the 19th best university in America.

Illinois ranks 16th in the Peace Corp's 2008 Top Universities and Colleges (large university category).

Open Doors ranks Illinois seventh in the nations' "Top Doctoral/Research Institutions" for total number of study abroad students with 2,052.

The University of Illinois has eight national resource centers, funded by the Department of Education. Only two universities in the nation have more centers than Illinois - the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the University of Washington.
