Each year, the University of Illinois honors a few individuals whose lives and careers exemplify a robust engagement within the international arena. The awards are intended both to publicly recognize the winner’s achievements in philanthropic, humanitarian, and scholarly work and to inspire members of the Illinois community through that recognition.
